Our Open Ocean Recovery System (OORS) consists of large ocean going barges with 8 newly patented Fast Flow™ Pumps, creating the capability to pump 5,000 barrels (yes barrels, not gallons) per hour, or 120,000 barrels per day.
We will position a series of barges near the leak to create an effective blockade keeping most of the BP oil spill from reaching the shoreline. The high volume capture capability of the OORS enables us to create the blockade.
Undersea "plumes" (or volumes of oil) can be collected by our Undersea Oil Recovery System (UORS), which utilizes the same Fast Flow™ Pumps to collect the oil down to depths of 700 feet.
Originally designed for use with industrial tar sand separation, our newly designed Beach Restoration System™ removes oil contamination from beach sand and returns the same sand to the beach in cleaner condition than before the spill. The system has an operating capacity to clean 700 cubic yards of sand per 10 hour period.
Allowing the original sand to remain in place following cleaning eliminates the costly replacement of the sand with imported sand.
CBT provides the equipment and our partner company, Louisiana based Crown LLC, facilitates the logistical and operational services of the Clean Beach Technologies Beach Restoration System™.
Reclaim
The Marsh Reclaimation System utilizes a series of shallow draft barges designed to operate close to shore and in the marshlands, and outfitted with Fast Flow™ Pumps that are capable of suctioning the combined thick oil and mud, all the way up to the beach waterline.
The barges can be manipulated in and out of the thick marshlands, manned by personnel who have excellent knowledge of the area and the ecosystems.
A biodegradable fertilizer that acts as a catalyst causing the existing natural bacteria to multiply can be applied to consume the oil more rapidly. The additive used is not a dispersant, but rather a fertilizer that does not harm the ecosystem.
