This process does not add new bacteria that might otherwise imbalance the ecosystem. It is important to note, and to communicate to the public, that the additive used is not a dispersant, but rather a fertilizer that is not harmful to the ecosystem.
The catalyst is delivered by aircraft or by small boat teams, all the resources for which have been secured by Clean Beach Technologies. Of significant importance is the need to apply the additive as quickly as possible before the oil sedimentizes in the marshland.
